Spain's inflation rate rose to 4.28% in August 2026, from 3.58% in July, extending an increase from 2.29% in January. The August reading is the highest since February 2023 and compares with 2.69% a year earlier. The rate remains well below the all-time high of 28.43% from August 1977. Separately, producer prices advanced 2.5% month on month in July 2026, according to International Monetary Fund data.
