Thailand's benchmark interest rate held at 1.00% in August 2026, unchanged from July. The rate has remained at 1% since February 2026, down from 1.25% in December 2025 and 1.50% a year earlier. It is well below the all-time high of 5.00% in December 2006 but above the record low of 0.50% in July 2022, according to the Bank for International Settlements.
