The current rate is 20 percentage points below the all-time high of 57% recorded in February 2002, and 32.5 percentage points above the all-time low of 4.5% set in December 2013, according to the Bank for International Settlements.

Consumer confidence in Türkiye rose to -9.3 in August from -10.6 in July, marking the fifth consecutive monthly increase. The index has climbed from -16.2 a year earlier and from -15.4 in March, though it remains below its all-time high of 8.5 recorded in September 2007. At -9.3, the reading stands well above the series low of -36.8 set in June 2022, according to Eurostat.

Türkiye Consumer Confidence Rises in August

Business confidence in Türkiye rose to 0.3 in August 2026 from -1.1 in July. The index moved into positive territory for the first time since February 2026, when it stood at 2.0, and was the highest reading in six months compared with -1.6 a year earlier, according to Eurostat.
